Air freight figures soar due to incline in movement

Due to the ongoing demand to and from the Far East and around the world the movement in air freight is becoming ever more popular. Over the last several months it is evident that we have seen longer transit with in ocean freight movement due to congestion and slow steaming, and with consumer levels increasing again companies can find resolution to receiving their cargo on a much quicker time scale by opting for an air freight booking.

Idle vessels return to the water

Through out March 2010 shipping lines have confirmed that extra vessels will be bought back to the water to reduce the pressure on consumers’ demands. Volume bookings soared over the Chinese New Year and ocean freight liners forecast that these patterns will continue over the coming months.

Southeast Asia trade recovering

Recent reports have indicated a strong recovery in two way trade between Southeast Asia and Europe during the final 3 months of 2009.  Recent overseas investment poured into Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia and most noticeably Vietnam, attracted by the regions high productivity and low labour costs.

Multinational corporations that have already established plants in China, sought to diversify their operations and open plants in various locations within Southeast Asia to avoid becoming totally dependent upon China.
